Carly and I have enjoyed the past two weeks of summer together! We have tried to have something fun planned everyday! Swim Lessons have been extremely fun and positive. Carly cries when we have to leave the pool, which I take as a good thing. Shows she really enjoys it. She can touch the bottom of the shallow end and has now decided it is fun to walk around on her tippy toes from one end to the other. Its really not the best habit to get into since a little wave could splash her in the face and give her a big drink of water, but I guess that will be something she has to self discover. In the meantime I will be watching her like a hawk. I always try to encourage her to go to the side, but that's boring apparently...
Lessons are great! Carly loves the routine of the class. We start every lesson going in a circle...parents holding their kids in swim position singing, "The kids in the pool go kick kick kick(melody to wheels on the bus)." Its super cute. Then we say kick kick kick one to three and pass them to the side of the wall...and they are supposed to come up for air and grab the wall (they usually need a little help) and then we encourage them to try to get out by themself.."shoulder shoulder knee knee" and then we sing Humpty Dumpty and say One Two Three and they fall in. Then when they pop up for air (with a little help) we roll them over in the float position. The goal is to get them water safe and if they can float by themselves for five seconds they can move to advanced. Carly NEVER let us float in our cold (84 degree pool). She LOVES the 90 degree pool! I am SO proud of how well she is doing with floating. She still doesn't really like it, but she listens and focuses...and knows how long she has to do it for...when we slowly count to five. Its adorable. Counting really helps. She doesn't like to do it unless I count. It calms her for sure.
I cant wait until we get to move up to advanced. It will be fun to work on more swimming and coming up for air stuff. I really believe she's going to be swimming by the end of summer! Now, that we know this place exists...I want to continue going there during the Winter. I don't want her to be afraid or forget again.
Tina's going to administer my shot again in a few minutes. Right now I am taking my morning birth control pill and at night the Lupron. Tomorrow will be my last day to take the birth control. I am supposed to call the fertility specialist once I start my period and she's going to tell us what to do next. She told us that the amount of shots are a little more intense for Frozen Embryo Transfers than Fresh... I never took Lupron before. One of the side effects is WEIGHT GAIN...(NICE!) but,so far so good. I don't feel much different. I've had a bigger appetite ever since I've been on birth control. So, not sure if my appetite has increased more or not. I do feel like I have pms cravings for sugar/chocolate.
Anyway, weight gain is a small price to pay for a baby. Carly has been the biggest blessing in our life. We love her SO much and hope that she will be able to share the experience of life with a loving sibling.
We took Carly to the beach tonight before dinner...and she loved it. When she was in the bath tonight she combined like THREE sentences and sounded more grown up then I have ever heard her. She said, "Can we go to the Beach Again, Please? Momma, Please can we go to the beach again! Beach is fun!"
Then I asked her if she liked the beach or the pool more and she said, "The Pool." So sweet.
Okay...time for the SHOT. The stomach ones aren't so bad. Its the deep muscle hip ones that start to really hurt. (Not looking forward to those again.)
