Teething Fever

Carly woke up today with a 99.8 armpit temperature. Tina noticed it right away. I just thought she was hot from her socks, pajamas and sheets, but Tina was right! She WAS hot! Her head was burning my lips! (Carly sleeps with us usually from 10:30pm on.) We gave her Motrin immediately and both decided to take the day off to be with her. We called our pediatrician's office and they said it sounded like she was just teething, because she has no other symptoms. Her fever went down right away. Later we all took a nice long nap together. I love family naps. Then sure enough...as soon as the medicine wore off eight hours later her temperature went up to 100.8. So, we gave her more Motrin and I called the pediatrican one more time. They said to alternate Tylenol with Motrin, so tonight at midnight we're going to give her Tylenol. Meanwhile, I just took her temperature before putting her to sleep tonight and her temp was at 99.8 again. Sucks. Why do babies get temperatures from their teeth coming in? How long do the fevers last? There's just a tiny little bulge in her lower gum, but nothing has broken through the surface yet. She's such a sweet girl.
We watched Couples Retreat today. It was cute. We liked it. The next one that we want to see that is JUST IN on our video in demand is Time Travelers Wife. I don't know what that actresses name is that plays the wife, but she's adorable. I loved her in the Notebook.
Tina's getting a massage right now. She's been in such bad shape. She gets terrible headaches and massage is the only thing that takes it away. I'm getting a massage tonight too. I'm excited. Tina does it for an hour and a half and I'm getting an hour. I'm usually ready to get off the table after an hour, but its SUCH heaven. I only went to boxing once so far this week, but I am sore from it. I love getting massages when my muscles are sore from a good workout. Today, we just ATE everything in sight. Tina bought all these naughty things from Trader Jo.es and we went to town. We had delicious arribiata pasta and meatballs which was frozen and took two seconds to prepare. It is my favorite! And, then she bought these ice cream sandwiches that are like 440 caleries, but SOOOOOOOOOo delicious. So, that was our day. Now, I get a four day weekend because of Presidents day. Tina doesn't get tomorrow off, but she does get Monday off. :) Hopefully Carly will feel better soon.
