Not Free :(

I got a call from my doctor's accounting lady a few hours before my appointment today to tell me that Dr. A is going to credit me the $250 insemination fee (since we didn't do it) and since it was normally $1000 it would have been $750, but what we're going to do next requires more monitoring so its going to be $1200. (GULP!) I was all prepared for it to be free. :( Then she told me that we are going to do a round with injectables and clomid. (And here I was thinking IUI would be all easy and natural.) My doctor likes to see results. I love her get-her-done attitude even though its also a little frightening. I start imagining her telling me that we are going to have triplets. Anyway, I totally forgot that the medicine is NOT included in the price. So guess how much that was? Follistim is EXPENSIVE... YEP! Another $1100 and WE purchased the $100 hcg shot already. HEART ATTACK!

Tina and I got Z-packs today too. I have an infected tonsil and a fever and Tina's got it too and a messed up eye. I sure hope the antibiotics won't mess anything up with this cycle. I start taking 3 pills of Clomid tomorrow at bedtime which is 150 mg. Last round I took only 2 pills and I thought that was a lot. I do the Clomid until Saturday when I start the 150 mg of Follistim sub-q injections in the stomach for two days. Then I get my blood drawn on Monday the 26th and have an ultrasound to see how the injectables are working. Dr. A will tell me what to do then. I will have estrogen patches and vag progesterone suppositories again too at some point.
Time to go to sleep. Carly's sleeping like a little angel.
