Back to Work!

Today was my first day back to school. We were worried that Carly wasn't going to enjoy her frozen breast milk, because she kept making faces when she got the bottle with frozen milk. Last night Carly would not go to sleep in the cradle. We tried everything! Finally at 3am we put her in bed with us and she fell right to sleep!

I missed her so badly today. Tina took these pictures with her phone and sent them to me, which completely melted my heart! I pumped twice today at work. I only had five minutes to pump between classes and I went into a bathroom that had no lock. I thought at any minute one of my students would open the door and see me standing there pumping. It wouldn't have been good. At lunch I found a safe bathroom with a lock, but it was much further away. I don't want Carly to have to eat anymore of that yucky old frozen milk.
I'm SO TIRED. Maybe I can talk Carly into taking a nap with me! Opps. Mommy just got home! Time to make a salad. We're having BBQ rotisserie chicken and salad. Quick and simple.

She is so gorgeous.

I'm sorry that you had to leave her.
WHY in the HELL don't they have a better place for you to pump ?
There should be a room designated for pumping. I would talk to the office. Even if it was putting you in the teachers lounge and locking all of the doors....putting a sign up that said, "Pumping in Progress"...something.
You should not be preparing your daughters meals in a nasty public restroom.

I want to stay on schedule with Carly, so since my classes are back to back and 2 hours each I don't have any time. My backpack double pump with battery back allows me to pump on the move. :) I went into the teacher staff stall today which was better. I didn't touch anything and I just threw my pumps in my freezer bag in the backpack and when I got back to class I used this cool clean on the go product from Medela. Its not very glamorous, but it works. I only have to put up with it for another week.
