Tina ran out last night and bought Carly a humidifier. The pediatrician recommended it to help keep her nasal passage open. We decided to put the humidifier in our room so she could sleep with us. I liked it, but the wet air made me a little stiff. It seemed to do the trick for Carly who woke up this morning bright eyed and bushy tailed. Cutie. She did great all morning at day care too and then Miss A started noticing congestion in her chest. She recommended that I take her to see the pediatrician. So I put anther call in and told them about the chest congestion and they told me again that there is nothing they can do for her unless she has a significant fever, green snot or an ear ache. So, there you go. I'm just glad her nose isn't running all over her face or glad for the break from it anyway. Yesterday she wouldn't let Tina put her down for a second. She slept in Tina's arms all day. Tina stayed home with her and worked from home. Tina felt pretty crappy herself. Carly probably caught whatever she has from Tina anyway, but the cold is definitely going around.
Another teacher at my school had to take his son to the emergency for an ear ache last night. Those are no fun. I got those all the time as a kid.
Yesterday I dropped off our car to get the bumper fixed and picked up the rental. I told them we needed something with four doors for the family..maybe some big suv or something. The place was packed. They told me I was getting a super awesome Cadillac. I thought that sounded fun! Then, it was taking forever and the guy asked if I wanted the Mercedes instead! Sounded great to me! When it came time to actually sign for the car this girl would NOT stop about getting the extra insurance. "Well, since its SUCH an expensive car I would recommend it. That way if you scratch it or do anything to it its covered!" I told her my insurance company told me not to get it. She wouldn't let up. I told her I'd be very careful. It was $17 dollars a day! Seems silly to get insurance ontop of my other insurance. Then, she made me feel paranoid. Should I have gotten it or was she just trying to upsale me? No way would I let Spence in the car. He would scratch up the doors for sure. That's why I like cheap cars, because then you can have fun and not worry about it. I have to say though, it is a nice ride. Tina took it to work today and enjoyed it. She said she felt like people treated her differently. Which makes me laugh...who are those people Tina, the other drivers? She said, "Yeah, they were like, who is this RICH BITCH?" haha. We're having fun with it.
