Today was my first day back. It was fun catching up and hearing how everyone spent their summers. I also came out to the other computer teacher who asked me about my “spouse” last year in front of her daughter who attended our high school. I told her today about Tina when she invited Carly and I to come over to her pool. She said she already knew and it didn't make her or her daughter uncomfortable at all. So, sweet. I wanted to tell her last year! I really did! Another coworker walked in just as I was explaining myself to her and we stopped talking about it. Then later at the department meeting I was showing one of the teachers this picture on my phone of Carly getting on Spencer’s back, which is TOTALLY funny. Carly has been playing on her rocking horse a lot recently. Spencer is so good with her… Anyway, my boss said, “Is Spencer your husband?” and I said, “Oh, NO!” So, that answered my question. She didn’t know. Wonder how the other computer teacher knew? I will ask her another time. Maybe I gave her a gay vibe. Ha! Or maybe she figured it out because I NEVER talk about my husband…
Last night Tina’s best friend invited us over to meet Baby L for the first time and eat this delicious Lasagna our neighbors made them. Our neighbors are SO nice to new parents. They all take turns cooking for each other when there is a new birth. Tina is going to make her famous Enchiladas. Baby L is the sweetest thing. He is only 8.8 lbs. What a LOVE! Carly got to hang out Baby Jay! We had a great time.
PS Carly actually stood in the sand yesterday!
PSS Carly's top rt tooth popped through in the biggest way! She's growing up so fast!
