BTW Thanksgiving was amazing! We went to my bffs house and they totally did it up. It was great. Last year we had to miss it because we got the flu and my mom is requesting that we come to her house next year. So, we really enjoyed the time we got to spend with together. Carly was having way too much fun to take a nap and by the time we left she was completely wiped out. She fell asleep the second we got on the road and my bff told me her daughter fell asleep in her arms right after we left too. Sweet babies...
Carly's got the potty training thing down with a few accidents here and there at either nap time or during the night. She's freaked out about pooping though. She won't poop in the potty. She holds it and holds it and then goes in her pants and then freaks out. She's so embarrassed about the whole thing. She used to go like clock work every day in the late afternoon. Now, its like every two days or on every third day, which has got to be very uncomfortable for her. Tonight she barely went and she was SO ashamed. She started hysterically crying while saying she's a big kid. Breaks our hearts. We've been telling her how important it is for her to go poo poo and that we'll buy her any toy she wants at Toysrus if she can go poo poo in the potty. Then she gets on a tangent about wanting to go to the toy store and we say, "Yes! Lets go, but first you have to go poo poo in the potty..." and she then she loses interest. So, we'll continue to work on that.
Today, we went swimming! Its been like two months since we went last because it has either been raining or we've been sick. Today it was sunny and Carly's ear infection was all cleared up. I was so happy we went. I don't want Carly to forget how much she loves it.
This has been a great week!

That red velvet cake looks AMAZING!!! Who made it? I would love the recepie! I haven't found one I like yet exczpt for the one from sweet.lady.jane :)
Which is in LA and i am in France....kind of hard to go there just for cake lol
As for going number two in the potty it is totally normal my kid took about 7 months AFTER she.was fully potty trained for number one (i didn't pressure her because we potty trained at 11 months) same with my friends babt she took about a year to go number two and she was a little younger than Carly....just depends on when she's really ready :)
My best friend's wife made it. She's from the south. We had a southern Thanksgiving! I asked her for the recipe. I had tried her Red Velvet Cake before and LOVED it and so I thought I would love all Red Velvet cake, but that wasn't the case. She told me her secret is not putting in the cocoa stuff... she says she leaves that out. I will post the recipe if she gives it up. :) Its SO GOOD! I ate WAY too much of it, but it was so good!
I am so impressed that you were able to potty train your baby so young. It is really the dedication of the parents. My neighbor did that with her son. She just made a decision not to do diapers anymore. She said they had a lot of accidents and she just brought extra pants. Her son figured it out in no time. Truly impressive.
I have thought about that cake alllllll day haha i really do think omitting the cocoa powder is what makes it good!! I hope she does share! I want to make it as a part of the 13 desserts we have during christmas...
I potty trained because i was too lazy to walk 30 min to buy diapers...lol
