I just got home from the egg retrieval! Dr. A got 17 eggs out of 19 that were all 17mm!
I can not believe it! I had so many different size follicles, I just can't believe they matured together at the last minute! I am so excited. I told Dr. A about the needle dilemma with the hcg. She was a little concerned. She said that you don't want it sub-q. I let her feel the spot Tina gave it to me and she was less worried. She said that I was skinny so it probably was fine! She said she would take a few follicles out and make sure they were mature before taking them all out...in case we needed to redo the hcg again. She is so good at what she does. When I got into the little pre surgery room there was a girl next to me that just got finished doing the same procedure I was going to have and she was in major pain and she sounded so out of it. I asked the nurse if she was okay. The nurse said that this particular patient must be extremely sensitive, because it was very rare for patients to have pain like that. The girl was also complaining about being really nauseous. I took my Zofran tablet before the procedure and never felt any nausea. Tina and I went to our favorite place and had a delicious breakfast right afterwards. I'm crampy and it was difficult urinating, but I feel fine. I think I'll go lay down and relax. I am on cloud nine. I got my dream job...and I got 17 eggs! It's truly unbelievable!
