Blood Clot!

My obgyn told me that a little blood was okay, but watch for blood clots and cramping. Last night we got a little freaked out by a blood clot. It was gross...looked like a black vein the length of my finger. TMI? Anyway, we called the doctor on call and she said that unless it was bright red we shouldn't panic, that it was probably more like blood that was rolling around in there for a while cause it was dark. Hmm. So we asked if I should be on bed rest, even though I did not want to miss work before the weekend, and she said I could stay home for work if I was nervous. I decided to play it by ear and see how the bleeding went. Fortunately, I only had a tiny amount of spotting all day. I took the opportunity to learn how to use the matt cutter and prepare the eight pieces of art work that are going in next week's art show. I figured that its better to get that in asap, because I really don't know what's going to happen if I'm going to bleed more or what. When I got home today I ate a very early dinner and passed out on the couch. Tina worked quietly at her computer all night and I slept until about 9pm before I decided it was time to get ready for bed. I'm cancelling all my plans for the weekend and I'm going to lie low with my feet up. I can't believe tomorrow we'll be 14 weeks. We're offically out of the first trimester! So cool! Hopefully my placenta will move up really soon and there will be no more bleeding.
