First of all, the baby looked GREAT! She looked like she doubled in size since our two week visit with our regular doctor. Unfortunately, we have another 2 weeks bed rest. I guess I should've known. The specialist told us that I would need to be on bed rest until I went two weeks without bleeding. Sucks!! The electronic wheel chair idea was knocked down too, because bed rest means laying down with pillows propping you..Not sitting up.:( Tina got me this cool tray like thing for my computer..so I can type on in easier while laying down. It also keeps it from getting super hot. We're looking into getting state disability. My mom doesn't think teachers can get it because we pay into STRS but the website doesn't say its for everyone but teachers..so I'm going to call. Our doctor was convinced that we qualify. I hope so. After paying the sub, my pay check is going to be like $600 a month. Not good news for the Christmas season.
A very sad thing happened while we were at our ultrasound. There was this lady in the waiting room and I almost asked her how far along she was..and then I didn't, because you never know if someone's just has a big tummy. She went in to see our doctor before us and when our doctor came in for our appointment she was upset. She told us that her patient who was 16 weeks along and had a perfect ultrasound 3 weeks ago just found out she lost her baby. There was no heartbeat or movement in the ultrasound. Her patient never had any bleeding or any warning signs. She must have been talking about the lady we saw in the waiting room. Poor thing. My heart goes out to her. Its just so painful. My sister Heather had the same thing happen to her. She got pregnant again a month later and had Tyson. It would take me a while to get the nerve up to try again if this pregnancy didn't work out. My sister's perseverance was inspiring.
